Winter fitness is essential for summer sexiness

My previous post looked at some of the most common reasons why people tend to balloon in June. It seems that there are so many things pitted against you in the colder weather: the lack of sunlight, your changing hormone levels, comfort food, hot sugary drinks. It’s just so tempting to lie under the blankets with a mug of hot chocolate and have a good doze. I get it. But I also know what that spells for your body come summer. Trust me, winter fitness is essential.

Make a commitment to winter fitness to guarantee a sexy bikini body in summer

Stick to your weekly workout schedule. Maintaining your routine will go a long way to ensuring that you still get to gym for your workouts.

Eat lots of fruit and veggies. This will provide your body with the carbs it needs so you’ll hopefully be less likely to crave cookies and other sugary comfort foods.

If you do indulge, make sure you immediately re-commit to winter fitness from the very next meal.

Monitor your body by taking regular measurements. If you’re bundled up under a think sweater you might not notice that your stomach is not quite as flat as it was. The measuring tape and bathroom scale won’t lie.

When it comes to food that are warming and filling, opt for things like broth based soups, roasted veggies, and lean meats.

Keep a stash of healthy snacks on hand. Low salt jerky, unsalted nuts, and fruit are good options.

As tempting as it is, don’t give in to the lure of sleeping in or having a nap instead of heading to gym. In fact, a workout will give you the boost of energy you need to feel refreshed and ready for the day. When you’re feeling drowsy, head to the gym instead of your blankets – you’ll feel far more clear-headed afterwards.

If you motivation wavers, think about how you would like to look on the beach next summer. Summer may seem far away, but winter fitness is essential for summer sexiness!
